Ashraful will lead ADA’s data-driven solutions to help local businesses succeed.
KUALA LUMPUR, 12 FEBRUARY 2020 – ADA (Part of Axiata Group), the largest company in Asia that integrates data, insights, media, and content to deliver business outcomes appoints Ashraful Haque (Ashraf) as the new Country Director of ADA in Bangladesh, effective 1 February 2020.
Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Ashraf is in charge of establishing ADA as the most reliable data partner to drive business growth for different companies by providing business insights, digital media planning and buying, and combining it with powerful creative solutions. He will lead a team of 40 digital natives and hopes to double the headcount by year end.
While data-driven marketing is still in its infancy in Bangladesh, his key task will be to educate potential clients on the important role that data analytics will play in business growth in a highly competitive market; with a vision to make ADA the only go-to brand when it comes to data capabilities and solutions.
As for his leadership style, Ashraf believes in a self-organised team, where team members from every level can express their thoughts and ideas at any time and in any forum – “With ownership and a sense of responsibility, no dream will be too big to achieve,” he enthused.
Ashraf comes with close to 20 years of experience in diversified consumer marketing and leadership roles in building successful brands with strong commercial focus. He has held strategic and operational management positions in the second top mobile telecommunications company in Bangladesh.
Having been on both the client-side as a brand marketeer and on the agency-side as a creative director, his experience will greatly help in quickly connecting a client’s business challenge with ADA’s suite of solutions in data, analytics, and advertising.
Highly creative, his leadership and communication skills with successful track record in leading diverse cross-functional projects made ‘Grameenphone’, the leading telecommunications service provider in Bangladesh, the most loved brand across all categories. He later brought ‘Robi’, the second largest mobile network operator to new heights by making it the ‘#1 Socially Devoted Brand in the World’.
Consistently identified as “fast track” individual, Ashraf has received the highest accolade from Axiata Group and is recognised as an ‘Axiata Champion’.
